Some objects simply do their job well. These objects evoke a deep loyalty in us, beloved because they're pleasing to use and bring efficiency and joy to our every day. We keep them with us for years, even decades, because they’re best in class at doing their simple tasks. We're drawn to their utility or to the shape of them, but the objects themselves also shape us. These objects are useful, purposeful, and often magically mundane.
