The Art of Metal Spinning


In metal spinning, a lathe is used to form sheet metal over an existing shape, or mold. It's a mesmerizing and meditative process, one that we often find excuses to go watch when our partners at H&H Manufacturing in Los Angeles are spinning parts for our Grain Family.
A while back, we talked Rosalio (who we've worked with almost as long as we've been a Studio) into spinning a few metal planters for us just so we could capture footage of the process.
