The history of these boots and their story spans decades. Originally developed for the French Legion Forces, though, over the many years they found their way into many different corners of underground scene street wear.
I wore these as a kid in the 1990s for a while as a “punk rock” skateboard shoe.
Now as an adult studio worker, on job site installer of sculptural lighting, ladder and scaffolding climber, They are a staple. A “can’t live without” work boot.
I can’t say enough, if you are required to slip those awful little "blue Booties" on over your shoes to walk into the job site. These are the boots to wear.
I paint and paster and sculpt and live-wire lighting… The rubber sole insulating me often enough to strongly endorse from grounding. I also box and run and jump rope, and they easily transition into my hightops for exercise.
And when the music’s loud in here, they dance.
This is my everyday object. I order a half size up.
