Our Dim to Warm Bulbs

We love LEDs for their efficiency, but as these longer lasting bulbs have improved they’ve also gotten brighter, which has meant that when you go to dim traditional LEDs the color output is awful to live with – cold, blue, and not what most of us are going for in our living spaces.

The great news is, the romantic feel of a dimmed incandescent bulb or a candlelit dinner is no longer hard to replicate with LEDs.

We spent three years developing custom “Dim to Warm” bulbs for our fixtures - bulbs that shift their color temperature as they dim instead of just getting “less bright.”

Dim to warm bulbs move from a brighter, whiter light to a warmer, more flattering amber that better mimics natural light, or candlelight. Check out the image below for example - a scene in our Studio that is lit by warm on dim bulbs on the left vs. standard LEDs dimmed to their typical dull gray, lighting up the scene on the right.
